Johann Strauss Violinist Bronze Sculpture Statue Abstract Art Tribute 15" x 5"
This 100% bronze bust honors the memory of Austrian composer Johann Strauss I (1804-1849). He was one of Europe's leading conductors and composers of over 300 works of dance music and establishing his reputation as a composer of Viennese waltzes. Not only fathering music he bore a son, J. Strauss Jr.(October 25, 1825 – June 3, 1899), who carried his name and musical talent. He is brilliantly cast in his elegant likeness. His face is cast down as he enigmatically smiles upon his musings. He sports an evening coat and a finely detailed bow tie. His bronze plinth bears his eternal name. J. Strauss was cast using the archaic methods of lost-wax casting and finished with a brown patina stain. He keeps upon a black marble base with the artist Milo's signature.
